She’s running 31 marathons and performing 31 shows in 31 days for charity.
And comedian Eddie Izzard, who prefers to use she/her pronouns, shocked fans by sharing a picture of her detached toenail and mangled toe in a very graphic picture shared on Instagram on Sunday.
The 58-year-old wrote: ‘Almost 36 miles run so far today on “double marathon Sunday”. And with a toe that looks like this… eddieizzard.com – The Beekeepers.’

The snap led to a lot of congratulatory posts from followers, with others saying she had put them off their dinner.
They wrote: ‘Now then lovely lady. I’m a former ballet dancer and you are incredible. Think of the new manicure and your next marathon!! And of us cheering you on xxx’
‘I’m not sure how I feel about that… Well done though!!!’
‘Absolute legend!! I actually thought your toe had dropped off Until I had a closer look.’
‘No worries! You got another 9 toes to get you all the way to the finish!’
Wow! Eddie, who plans to become Britain’s first transgender MP shared this photo of her detached toenail – MailOnline has pixellated the image
‘Darn it but well done! Also remind me not to check Instagram before eating dinner.’
Eddie’s toenail should grow back. Runners develop a hematoma underneath the nail plate, and the nail falls off, a nail is likely to grow back.
The post comes as inspirational Eddie revealed plans to become the UK’s first transgender MP.
The star, who had previously identified as a transvestite, once described herself as a ‘lesbian trapped in a man’s body’.
She now wants to help Keir Starmer’s Labour Party to evict Boris Johnson from 10 Downing Street and bring an end of 11 years of Conservative-led rule.
Eddie is now ‘based in girl mode from now on’ and wants to serve in parliament.
She told The Mirror: ‘I wish to stand, I wish to be considered for a constituency, I would love to be elected and I would love to fight for Keir Starmer to be the next Prime Minister.
‘I don’t trust Boris Johnson. He has told lie upon lie and that is not a good example to our children, to say if you lie enough you can become Prime Minister.’
Eddie had previously urged the former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn to drive anti-Semites out of the party.
The award-winning comedian is due to complete her 31st marathon in 31 days during a campaign to raise funds for the Make Humanity Great Again charity.
So far her epic run has raised more than £150,000.
Meanwhile, Eddie was left frustrated when gatecrashers tried to interrupt her marathon run in the last few moments last week.
Eddie shared a clip of the ‘dramatic’ moment on social media as she ran on a treadmill in a studio and people tried to come into the coronavirus-secure room.

In the clip, the star could be seen looking to the side and calling out: ‘No, no, no you can’t come in, you can’t come in, I’m sorry! You can’t come in, you can’t come in it is covid safe.
Apparently being ignored, Eddie then said: ‘Please, please you have to go I am sorry. Do not, do not, do not, it is covid safe go out, please go out, it is covid safe, please stay out.’
Eddie had been speaking to radio host Chris Moyles during the run to discuss her progress.
She told him: ‘Two guys tried to get in, we’ve got the doors open to let the air in from inside and they came in!’
The clip was later shared on Eddie’s Twitter account along with the message: ‘A dramatic ending to a very tough marathon 24.
‘It’s hard enough for @eddieizzard as it is without having to contend with gatecrashers.
‘Thanks to @ChrisMoyles for your support #MakeHumanityGreatAgain Please donate at eddieizzard.com – the Beekeepers’.
The comedian told The Mirror that the gatecrashers meant no harm but their actions were ‘dangerous’.

She said: ‘It was unfortunate that some young guys tried to get into our Covid Safe bubble tonight to say hello.
‘They meant no harm but in these Covid times, it was dangerous and could have compromised our challenge to raise money to make humanity great again. Please everyone wears masks and let’s look after each other.’
On the charity page, Eddie wrote: ‘Money raised will be allocated to charities making a real difference to disadvantaged and vulnerable people at this difficult time including some of those dealing with the wider effects of the Covid 19 pandemic.
‘The first five to benefit are Fareshare, Walking With the Wounded, Care International, United to Combat Neglected Tropical Diseases and Covenant House New York City.

‘Depending on how much is donated other charities will also be selected after due process.’
Earlier this month, the activist revealed she has known she is transgender from the age of around four.
Preferring to go by the pronouns, ‘she’ and ‘her’, the media personality said the notion that she ‘recently came out is ridiculous’ and notes she’s ‘been through hell since 1985.’
Talking to The Big Issue, Eddie said her gender-fluidity has been a big feature of her 40-year career in comedy.
In December, the TV star appeared on the Sky Arts programme Portrait Artist of the Year and shared she wanted ‘to be based in girl-mode from now on.’
Eddie admitted she couldn’t believe some were surprised by her words because she has felt this way since childhood.
The actress said: ‘I’ve known I was trans since I was four or five. My feelings from the age of five have not moved an inch. Have not moved a centimetre, a millimetre even.
‘Thirty-five years ago, I came out. The rest is language. I went through such hell since ’85 that the idea that I’ve come out recently just sounds ridiculous.’
